Williams-Sonoma Highlights: Williams-Sonoma has used QualPro's MVT® experiments to help achieve a 25% lift to their catalog dollars per book. Information: When specialty multi-channel retailer Williams-Sonoma began experiencing both a rapid growth in their retail store and e-commerce sales and a disappointing decline in catalog sales, the company turned to QualPro to help improve their mail order business. Williams-Sonoma's top executives joined selected project participants and QualPro consultants to formulate a stable, testable improvement process. In accordance with QualPro's standard approach to test only ideas which are practical, fast, and cost-free to implement; the team chose to avoid changes to the main catalog spreads, as well as other factors which would have required additional photography and cost. QualPro's MVT® experiments eventually revealed four ideas which actually had a very positive effect on Williams-Sonoma's catalog sales. Overall, QualPro's MVT® process guided Williams Sonoma to a 25% increase in catalog sales per book, encouraging Williams Sonoma executives to further employ QualPro to pursue additional MVT® testing. |
