Kerry Stone
Account Director
Kerry Stone is an account director for QualPro with over thirty years experience in process performance improvement, statistical applications, and training. As a QualPro consultant, project manager, process improvement statistician, and seminar instructor, Kerry is a leading authority on the use of statistical methods for the chemical and processing industries. His extensive experience spans a variety of other industries including manufacturing, mining, paper, automotive, petroleum, sales, and service.
Prior to joining QualPro, Kerry served as a process improvement statistician at Union Carbide’s Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant. While working at the plant, Kerry successfully applied statistical techniques to achieve multiple improvement objectives for both manufacturing and service processes and also engaged in product and process development activities. Kerry completed successful projects in metal casting, rolling & forming, machining, assembly, maintenance, and accounting. He also provided statistical expertise to develop process sampling programs and analyze and improve measurement systems.
Since joining QualPro in 1984, Kerry has consistently delivered breakthrough performance improvements using QualPro’s 12-step MVT ® Process. As a trainer and process improvement consultant in the early part of his consulting career, Kerry conducted over 500 training seminars both domestically and internationally and completed on-site consulting projects with over 100 companies around the world. He has over twenty-five years of field consulting experience, which enabled him to become a leading expert on statistical applications for process improvement. He has also successfully utilized the MVT ® Process for research activities pursuing product and process development objectives.
As an account director at QualPro since the early 90’s, Kerry has led numerous process improvement projects where he oversaw the management relations, planning, staffing, statistical application, technical guidance, ROI management, and other project management activities. He has direct experience as an account director with many Fortune 500 and Chemical 300 companies, including industry leaders such as Exxon, BASF, and DuPont. His successes have been featured in Industry Week, The Economist, Quality in Manufacturing, USA Today, and other industrial publications.
In addition to his accomplishments improving chemical processes, Kerry has successfully applied the MVT ® Process to mining, maintenance, engineering, accounting, sales, marketing, administration, customer service, safety, logistics, and environmental activities. He is a member of the American Society for Quality Control (ASQC) and has given quality-related lectures for numerous professional and academic organizations.
Kerry received his Bachelor of Science degree in statistics and an M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
